You can store and maintain external links which are primarily used for your website’s blogroll. For this WordPress website, for example, the blogroll is located on the right hand column under the heading BlogRoll.

For the theme that we used, there’s a blogroll widget on the Appearance page where we just have to drag and drop this on the right side column. Once saved, this blogroll is then created with all the links on the Links page.

Create a Link

To create a link, just follow the steps enumerated below:

1. On your WordPress dashboard, click on the Links menu
2. The Links menu will expand to show its sub menu and the Links page. There should be some default links on your Link page, otherwise it would be blank.

3. Click on Add New
4. On the Add New Links page, fill in the following fields:

  • Name
  • Web Address
  • Description
  • Categories
  • Target
  • Link Relationship
  • Image Address
  • RSS Address
  • Notes
  • Rating

5. On the right hand save, there is a Save section where you can click the Add Link button. If you do not wish to make this new link public, then just tick on the check box right above the Add Link button. To save click on the button.
