In this tutorial you will learn how to manage comments made to your posts and pages. The Comments menu in WordPress allows you to manage the comments left by your audience and your reply to their comments as well. If your website is new then you probably have one comment which shows as one row in the Comments page.

When you hover over this row, you will notice that the record operations i.e. Approve, Reply, Quick Edit, Edit, spam, and Trash will appear. If you want to publish the comment then just click the Approve button.
Clicking the Reply link will show a mini text editor at the bottom of the comment row. You can type your reply and once finished just click on the Submit Reply button. Alternatively you can click on the Cancel button if you do not wish to publish your reply.
Quick Edit and Edit provides the same functionality. The only difference is that with Edit you will be taken to a new page where you can view the Author’s information at the top and where you can edit the content of the comment or reply through the editor. With Quick Edit, a mini editor appears below the row that you are currently viewing.
The Spam button is click when you suspect that the comment comes from spammers. Alternatively, you can click the Trash link which will take the current row out of the Comments page.
