A shopping cart enables you to list your products and enables your customers to add the items they selected to a cart. When your customers are satisfied with their selection, then the shopping cart allows them to check them out and allow the them to pay for the goods or services with their credit cards or other online payment methods such as paypal. It’s important to know that the shopping cart software integrates with a payment gateway and this in turn integrates with a merchant account. The payment gateway and the merchant account do not necessarily come with the shopping cart.
